/xfonts-100dpi/+bug/904043 , makes the origin workaround useless now.
Another workaround might be start xspim with xspim -font 6x10

xSPIM
The workaround is not working in Ubuntu 13.04.

I installed xSPIM from the Ubuntu Software Centre.
I rebooted my machine.
I went to the menu Applications-Science-xSPIM and clicked on it.
Nothing happens, the application does not start
I ran the 'top'
Still there, till 13.04.

Thanks! I'll look into adding those dependencies, but a new Qt-based
interface has recently become available which may not require it in the
next release. Should still be able to fix the dependencies for the released
version though.

I downloaded the code from launchpad using the command
bzr branch lp:ubuntu/natty/spim
Then, following the instructions in the README file I tried to make the
code.
I got the following error.
