On 20070217 the Hardware Information selection is returned to the
Control Center which it should be. I use it, since I run on several
computers, and change hardware from time to time.
The tab for optionally returning hardware info to the developers is gone
out of system tools. It didn't give me

It is no longer in the control centre. It has been moved to the main
menu: ApplicationsSystem Tools (at this moment I'm in Edgy, but I'm
sure it's there).

That's not what we're on about now. The Ubuntu database has now moved
there but the hardware information which was how you used to get to the
database has now gone.

Hardware Information Icon disappeared with 20070214?
With today's build I can't find the Hardware Information icon anywhere
in the Control Center. Control center is changed now, the Hardware
category only has screen resolution, mouse, keyboard, and sound.

I experienced the same issue this morning on Feisty. The system prompted
me to contribute to the hardware database but directed me to the wrong
location (Application / System Tools) instead of System / Control Center
/ Hardware Information / hardware database.

Okay today at 15:00gmt I did and update and this issue has been
resolved. There is now a new menu item system tools and the hardware
database is in it.
I still believe it would be better to put this into control center as it
would make more sense in there in the hardware section.
