unable to unzip a file

sorry I could have given more information on the first post.
This probleme starded with Oneric. with earlier snapshot of Oneiric ( Alpha 1/2
) I was able to unzip a file.
I have localized a zip file I have modified in the past on Oneiric, from the
Properties menu, the last time the file was
Me, too. I'm getting an error message about an unsupported filetype with
every .zip. But it only fails with file-roller. When I'm using the
unzip XYZ.zip-command it is working.

Did this work with a previous version of Ubuntu? You mention this has
been the case for a while, how long? Do you remember any software event
around when you lost the ability to unzip? Did this happen before your
upgrade to oneiric (11.04) about a week ago?
Are you able to extract different file
