The new Ubuntu Software Center Icon only shows up in the Dash, once the
icon is clicked it reverts to the old icon in the Launcher.

The reason is that the icon
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/softwarecenter.svg still is the
old one and has to be changed to the new one.
Furthermore, the icon /usr/share/app-install/icons/softwarecenter.png
also has to be updated to the new one in package app-install-data.

Due to the above the new icon only pops up in the launcher for launcher
sizes 46-50.

Here's a workaround until fixed:
sudo cp /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/softwarecenter.svg
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/softwarecenter.svg
sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor
