Ubunto last version 6.10, It seems problem was update online, because after
reboot averything came back to standard GUI as I set it upped.
I did not see any problem later therefore I did not used gnome session to
track the process.

The reason is unknown weather is related to after doing online update
and installation of some application, or not.. the fact is after a few
minute the upper and lower panel frizzed. Mouse could move but its click
did not effect to any menu or icons on both 2
after restart (init 6) I see new version of kernel ad to boot manager.
after run gdm I received message :gnome greetting crashed, will start
another interface to login. right now desktop restored.

I have seen the same effect (both panel-bars freezing).
This was an hour after my first installation of Edgy on a fresh system, about a
week ago.
I was not known to the community, so I didn't report a bug, but I will try to
see if there is any log left on my computer.
