** Changed in: software-properties
It was sporadic during the developmental stages of onieric. Really no
set way to make it happen, it just happened sometimes while adding a
repository. I haven't seen it I a while and I did a fresh install 11.10
and added a bunch of repositories with no issue. Sorry I can't help
more.
Marking invalid based on the reporter's last comment, as it's not
reproducible anymore.
