I am not sure what is to be expected here. Is the current behavior
expected or is it a bug. I am all for the thought that its expected as
its been a while for it being there. subscribed Sam as I believe he
would know better.

Oh, you're right, I've just tested it under 10.10 (I've attached
another file with pygtk example) and the same thing happens there so it
isn't a regression. Strange I've never noticed it there.
Still the question is whether this is a bug or a feature - for
completeness I ran the test under
i am not sure whats the expected behavior, What used to happen in Ubuntu
10.10 or even 11.04
