Public bug reported: Kubuntu oneiric, packages up to date as of 2011-10-06.
I upgraded into oneiric from natty, where I had the 64-bit version of Skype from natty/partner. The older package only depends on ia32-libs for its needed 32-bit libraries, so it wouldn't start due to missing Qt4 libraries that nowadays aren't included in ia32-libs. I figured Skype merely hadn't made it into oneiric, but I had skype:i386 pointed out to me on IRC. Installing oneiric skype:i386 properly removed natty skype:amd64, but upgrading packages didn't do this for me automatically. There doesn't seem to be any virtual skype:amd64 package that would transition into skype:i386 instead. ** Affects: skype (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/868913 Title: natty skype:amd64 doesn't upgrade into oneiric skype:i386 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/skype/+bug/868913/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
