Public bug reported: After booting the live CD and selecting "Try Ubuntu" I am switched to a console while the X server is restarted, it contains many boot messages that are not of interest to the end-user. As far as I understand, the X server has to be restarted, but as mentioned in bug 813065, the console should probably be cleared first to provide a smoother end-user experience.
Whereas bug 813065 is specific to Intel video cards, and appears fixed, this bug here is specific to Nvidia video cards.
