As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS, I have tested this on 15.10
and the bug is still there.
I installed the "Receiver for Linux" from here:

The program still isn't discoverable in Unity. As a side note,
Correction: The Citrix application appears in the Home lens, but not in
the Applications lens.

Unity
To logout and login didn't fix it.
I have reinstalled my Oneiric installation, keeping the same /home
But still the same, after installing Citrix by using the .deb, it didn't show
up. Plus I had to manually give +x rights to the .desktop file, and manually
install a file from the 32 bits
try to logout and login again, that might fix it for you.
