Hi, in my case the solution worked. I've added to my /etc/modules list
and now the wireless card works :)
I don't know about the network list, but did you made the change
permanent (added to modules) or are you using the two commands provided?

This is simply bizarre. You should be running the iwl4965 driver, e.g.,
rtg@xps1710:~/proj/ubuntu-oneiric$ lsmod|grep iwl

mac80211 310872 2 iwl4965,iwl_legacy
cfg80211 199587 3
I find wireless is working, it is just not initializing correctly with
saved information like SSID WPA2 keys (in my case). Once the
information is provided, wifi does connect.
This is a major annoyance, however, because it means re-configuring
wireless after every suspend.
