Public bug reported: Host: T61p
Oneiric is spontaneously, and seemingly randomly, turning off. A hard power-off, not a graceful shutdown. This is repeatable, but random in that there does not appear to be any user event or period of time that causes the power-off. I first encountered this with the release candidate, but am now seeing it with a clean (formatted) reinstall of Oneiric, with only nvidia and fprintd added. No VMware, yet, or other "interesting" packages. I do NOT see the same happen with Fedora 14, Lucid, or Natty on the same laptop, including Natty with the 3.0.0-12-lowlatency kernel. Needless to say, this is a major regression, and renders Oneiric unusable for anything other than reproducing this problem.
