Here is a before screen shot with both panes the same size. Clicking on a directory in home triggers this bug consistently for me. Here I will click on Downloads. ** Attachment added: Before opening directory in second pane.

As you can see, after i click on downloads, the files all get squished into a right hand pane that is the same width as the icons. It does this every time without fail. I tried reinstalling but it still happens out of the box. it also happens on my Asus EEE 100he net book and on my wife's macbook
