-dev packages do not help give good debugging output. You need -dbg and/or -dbgsym packages for that. (-dev packages provide header files, not debug symbols.) Some of the relevant debug symbol packages are available only in the -dbgsym variety, so you'll need to enable the ddebs repository, by fol
