Hi,
PnPBIOS in general gives crap information, so this is not surprising. Is
there a way to fix this without relying on PnPBIOS?

I can get the audio working using: sudo /sbin/modprobe snd-cs4236 but
the volume seems to be way too quiet (I have to set my stereo to almost
ma vol to get a decent level of volume. I am I using the wrong drivers?
Is there a better way to get this sound to work? Thanks.

The volume was a wiring problem. The only problem is that this driver
wasn't loaded automatically. I found the answer here:
