I would like seeing this fixed too especially as we have a patch here
that could be maybe used at least as a package specific changeset.

Is this ever going to be fixed? I'm running Trisquel Toutatis Mini, and
still have to login to console before lxde login to avoid 100% usage by
lxde. Apt-get shows my system fully up-to-date.

On Ubuntu 13.10 dev lxdm-binary is still using 100% of cpu time of one
core.

The attachment login_ecryptfs.patch of this bug report has been
identified as being a patch. The ubuntu-reviewers team has been
subscribed to the bug report so that they can review the patch. In the
event that this is in fact not a patch you can resolve this situation by
removing the tag 'patch'
The problem appears only if ecryptfs is used. A workaround is to login into
your console before login with LXDM. After this you can logout from your

I have Ubuntu 11.04 and just installed lxdm with version (0.3.0) and i
had similar problem. Best solution so far is to forgot lxdm.
