Same wifi problem here with an asus V6V. But suspend/resume still works
fine. The two things must be unrelated.
Nonetheless I am now unable to switch the powerstate of my wifi card
since my upgrade to feisty. Worked like a charm in Edgy.
** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu)
Noticed another thing with 2.6.20. The kernel module asus_acpi doesn't
like on bootup, whereas 2.6.17 does.
However, despite loading the module in 2.6.20, the ACPI functions are
still not working. Suspend still hangs on wakeup, and software wireless
switch is still not responding.

ACPI not
Ok, the software wireless on/off button works as well, with edgy's
linux-image-2.6.17-11. So it appears to be an ACPI issue with 2.6.20 on
the ASUS W3N.
