Public bug reported: Whichever method I use to close down fails Mostly it gets stuck at the Ubuntu and symbol screen with the dots cycling through repeatedly. I left it for about half an hour once to check I wasn't being too impatient.
It started probably on Saturday 26th pm. I have been installing recommended updates the same day. The only other oddity I noticed was that after closing down Firefox, I tried to start it again but I got the message Another version of Firefox was running. Close this down first. I found no way of doing that so I tried to close down, This may be when the problem started. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/897183 Title: Ubuntu 11.10 won't close down To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/897183/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
