I was able to install a regular Ubuntu 11.10 on the first mentioned system without any problems. Older Ubuntu versions also went without a glitch on systems with BSD partitions. I don't mind doing a test reinstall of either Ubuntu 11.10 or Lubuntu 11.10 on the 2nd system, but I'd need some
