I just had the same problem on a default Ubuntu 13.10 install. I have an HP LaserJet P1102 that worked on Ubuntu 12.10. On 13.10 the test page would print but no applications would print. The job would be stuck in the queue. After unplugging and plugging the printer a few times with no success,
