while e.g. a PDF- or SVG-file is displayed on screen correctly, the print-out contains some missing characters, a rectangle appears instead. I am using a laser printer: Samsung CLP-550. I have tried two printer drivers: (a) the one which is shipped with Xubuntu. (b) the driver mentioned at "HOWTO Install Samsung Unified Printer Driver" (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=341621 -> from source "deb http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/ debian extra") This issue appears also in previous releases.
