I'm currently using an updated feisty. The Samsom CO1U usb is accessed with alsasrc device=hw:1,0. Actually my usb webcam's microphone has the same problem. When plugged in and selected, only Ekiga gets some input. When both are plugged in the second one is device=hw:2,0. -- Samsom C01U usb

Hmm, now Audacity is able to access the device to record, but it has no device to output to. So I'm able to record, with the Samsom or the webcam but unable to playback. Gnome Sound recorder lists nothing as a possible input device, yet it should since it uses gstreamer. Gstr-properties lists
