I tried 10.04.3 - that failed and didn't work either. With no
available drivers via jockey. I tested 10.10 and I was able to connect -
I'm trying 11.04 now to see if it works there also; I'll reply back with
my results.

Greg, as stated on comment #3, Ubuntu provides backport of wireless
drivers for these cases, as a workaround/fix. On 10.04, you can install
the package linux-backports-modules-wireless-2.6.35-lucid-generic, which
are the compat wireless drivers from 2.6.35 (based on same kernel in
10.10), did you
Hi Herton, I tried installing the linux-backports-modules-
wireless-2.6.35-lucid-generic and I was still not successful in using
the wireless interface. I did test 10.10 and also 11.04 and BOTH work
properly.

I saw something like this on a few systems (4 of them I think). Try
running /usr/share/checkbox-certification/scripts/network_wireless_test
on the failing machine. If it returns no wireless networks, what I
usually do is restart Network Manager (sudo pkill NetworkManager), then
wait a few seconds
It is possible to request an SRU for this bug, but it would need a
patch/bug fix already identified, or a set of patches not intrusive and
self contained to the bug, that could be applied on Lucid.
