@Joseph
Ok, I am ready to test.
Currently I am running 3.0.0-17-generic
Could you tell me the steps to try the solution?
Thanks

Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the
latest v3.3 kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once
you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-
testing' tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags). This can

I believe this bug is fixed upstream in the following commit:
811fd3010cf512f2e23e6c4c912aad54516dc706 r8169: Rx FIFO overflow fixes.
This patch has not made it into Oneiric as of yet.

@Jpi,
I'll build an Oneiric test kernel with this patch.

@Jpi,
Instead of waiting for me to build a kernel, do you think you can test the
latest upstream 3.0 kernel, which is available at:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.0.23-oneiric/

@Jpi,
Actually, I don't thing that patch was applied to 3.0 stable yet. It
looks like it was applied to 3.2 stable. So I assume v3.0.23 will still
have the bug.
Can you test the latest 3.2 stable kernel:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.2.9-precise/

@Joseph
I will, as soon as I solve my current problem (gcc broken!)
I may need some help in the test (I do not know if I klnow how to test a
kernel, soory for the n00biness)
