Public bug reported: Binary package hint: k3b
When I attempted to backup my mail (and much else) to DVD using K3B it stopped quickly with the standard hyper-optimistic success noises. I checked the log, and it indicated: Using ACLU000.MSF;1 for Profiles/Thunderbird/default.x3c/Mail/Local Folders/Political Action.sbd/aclu.msf (ACLU.msf) Incorrectly encoded string (üõ·) encountered. Possibly creating an invalid Joliet extension. Aborting. :-( write failed: Input/output error I'll attach that file, and the log. I understand this is not strictly K3B's fault, but it should at least detect that an error has occured. I think the bug may be in growisofs. Either way, complete failure is an unacceptable response to an invalid string. Even mangling would be better. ** Affects: k3b (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- K3B creates coasters when invalid strings are encountered, and still reports success https://launchpad.net/bugs/95347 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
