From the other comments, it appears that this isn't a duplicate. I
updated to 12.04 and now alt-tab switching doesn't work - I'm using
gnome instead of unity though.

I disagree that this is a duplicate of #945816. I haven't changed my
HUD shortcut and alt-tab still behaves as described in this report, and
not as expected (switching windows).

1:0.9.7.6-0ubuntu1 and this bug (alt-tab not working, hud key is not re-

I am using ubuntu 12.04. I did not touch anything in configuration. The
Alt+Tab key suddenly stopped functionning and I am not able to recover
it, even after a reboot.

FWIW it seems to work in Unity 3D but not in Unity 2D.
