A new feature with lightdm  on Ubuntu 12.04 (I'm on beta right now) is
that when selecting a user, the background should automatically change
to the desktop background set by this user.  This works fine if the
background set is static, but if the user chooses  a sideshow
background, lightdm displays the default purple background.
