Public bug reported:

For the last few days, I've found that some keyboard settings (for
example, changing Caps Lock to be a Ctrl key), which I have set under
"Keyboard Settings→Options…", spontaneously reset on one 12.04 machine;
and always reset after suspend/resume on another.

This seems to be accompanied by a message such as:

[219372.505] (II) XKB: reuse xkmfile /var/lib/xkb/server-
E9EA10154E11AFEF2F1D0F18AF3DCD3D803A1FF6.xkm

in the X logs. The file thus reused is not the latest one in the
directory.
