Ok, good to know. Well, after you had mentioned it, I checked it anyway
but there doesn't even seem to be a BIOS option for WoL on my netbook.
So the imagined power consumption probably isn't related to that known
problem.

Great, thanks for the update. About the WoL: there is a known issue
with some of the systems using sky2 that *could* have impact on power
consumption. Hence the suggestion. Anyway, good to know your problem
is now sorted out.

Luis, thanks for the hint, it never occured to me that WoL could affect
a machine that is already "awake". Anyway, I did some more and more
caruful measurements using powerstat and after these it seems that the
problem is with powertop after all. Sorry for the mistake.
