Guillaume Michaud, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't
been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
It is still an issue today.
Multi-touch works (two-finger scrolling, two-finger tapping...) but NOT
multi-touch + clicking on the clicking area of the touchpad.
It is therefore impossible to clic on a window using the clicking area and
dragging the window with a finger on the sensitive area.
**
I have an Elantech touchpad (some other Zenbooks have a Sentelic
touchpad) :
gfmichaud@dragonfly:~$ dmesg | grep -i elantech
[2.691566] psmouse serio4: elantech: assuming hardware version 4 (with
firmware version 0x361f00)
[2.703919] psmouse serio4: elantech: Synaptics capabilities query
Works for me since 12.10.
