I'm tagging this kernel-unable-to-test-upstream -- I ran the upstream kernel for a while, but iwlwifi in general does not seem to work well in that kernel and deassociates from the AP after usually a few hours, unlike this oops which only happens every few days. ** Tags added:

I'm now testing the mainline kernel: $ uname -r 3.4.0-030400-generic Will try to use wifi only for a few days and see if it recurs. FWIW, this hardware is certified on 12.04: http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201108-8931/ so it's a bit sad that it doesn't seem to work perfectly!
