This isn't a bug, it's intended - since feature freeze took affect we've been carefully picking changes from trunk to put in the package source. I would just follow up on the branch that you proposed mentioning that the change is not in the packaged version. We can work it out from there. **

FYI, the reason why the (relatively unobtrusive) progress bar patch wasn't included in the Ubuntu tree is because it was a new feature, and those need an exception procedure after Feature Freeze. A few useful features were left out, which has been painful but as you noticed, there's no easy way of
