The bug persists!!! This is really a weakness of the thunderbird-
calendar system. Perhaps I should drop using thunderbird. For me the
calendar integration is important.

Same problem here with Thunderbird 17.0.6 and Lightning 1.9.1. That
said, this bug appears also with akonadi/KOrganizer.

Title:
time-zone
As per Memotoo post (http://www.memotoo.com/forum/msg-4-6507-Recurring-
events-wrong-by-1h-using-synchronized-with-CalDAV-after-DST-change.html)
and KDE bug tracker discussion
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291531), the fault might be on
Memotoo's side, but I am not sure.

Title:
time-zone conversion in thunderbird - lightning mess up DST change
The problem is that the events arrive all with the time converted to
GMT. That's normally ok, unless it's a repeating event which crosses a
DST change...

Should it be the job of the client to detect that recurring events cross
the DST change point and show a corrected version?

Title:
time-zone
So is there a solution? On Android using memotoo syrc (a version of a
funambol client, syncml protocol), the same events do synchronise
properly.

Or is the cause of the problem that memotoo should not send events in
GMT, but rather with their original timezones?

Title:
time-zone conversion
I have a big screenshot showing the problem. All the events are in zone
Europe/Madrid, and all the timezones are configured correctly. As you can see,
the event arrives in GMT and is shifted one hour with respect to the (correct)
position in Memotoo.
I am not coninvced that the problem is from
@Stephane:
I do not know where the error is --- the fact that the event when is
updated change the time zone from the original one to GMT *is* the bug,
IMO, but I do not think that it is Memotoo sending it wrong: I don't
see why, given that it send the event with the correct time zone to
Outlook
I agree with your analysis, adding the same memotoo calendar as a remote
ICAL address shows the correct time and time zone.
