Public bug reported:
AWT filters out all ConfigureNotify if the toplevel is not reparented.
As Compiz and other compositors do not reparent windows, this
effectively breaks (re)draw for many Swing apps (e.g. jIRCii and
Frostwire).
The simple fix is to define a working AWT toolkit in the environment.
