Ubuntu 12.04 was a fresh installation (no upgrade). But yes, this bug happens also with former ubuntu versions. I've this problem also with my old computer (also nvidia graphic card). And yes, there was a unbuntu version in the past where the boot splash was normal (on my old computer), but I

Here is a photo of the problem... ... and I found an other very strange behavior. If I boot in the rescue mode, then I've no boot splash (That's normal, I know). Now I press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart and boot ubuntu in the normal mode. In this case the boot splash works!!! But if the boot
