I have the same problem after update my Ubuntu 12.04. In my case, when I
creating a new user account with type standard , everything is ok, but
with type administrator, I still can't switch between windows of the
same application.

Title:
if only one workspace defined, spread of windows from same app stops
I can confirm the same bug. With only one workspace Spread does not
work. Added one vertical workspace through ccms and spread starts
working. However, this is just a temporary workarouund since I do not
want to have more than one workspace all the time.
