Will this ever be fixed for 12.04? I don't see this on 13.04, but 12.04
with all updates is still *very* badly effected by this with intel
graphics. This bug happens very often and makes for an extremely
unpolished experience with these graphical artifacts all over the
panel...

Same problem here on all my installtions of ubuntu 12.04 (every system
use an intel-based graphic card).

I've now seen this bug with intel and nvidia (nouveau). I think
rendering of those tabs is done entirely in software, so the graphics
driver is probably not a factor.
