Public bug reported: The version of libevent included with precise (2.0.16-stable-1) will cause a consistent crash with Transmission. This crash does not occur with newer versions of libevent (fixed in 2.0.18). libevent version 2.0.18-stable-1 or newer should be included in Ubuntu to correct this issue.
