Hi, you should file a separate bug report, as the problem you are
having is different (this one doesn't have a cursor in the corner) and
this bug seems to have been fixed in feisty.

xorg.conf, no freeze if DRI disabled or AGP speed set to auto in

Thanks for building the package for Edgy. I tried it and still had the
same problem. The first reboot came up fine, but upon the second I got
the black screen and had to bounce the machine a few times after that
before it would start X.

Quash: so the new package fixes it for you? Did you try it with the
bios speed set to 8x, dri enabled, and no Option AGPMode 8 in
xorg.conf? (which would have gaurnteed a freeze before, right)
Just curious because my preliminary test of the new package didn't fix
it, but of course it could have
