When I boot the edgy knot-3 CD, I set a keymap in the boot menu (German)
using the F3 key.
The setting gets ignored, keyboard setup in the LiveCD seems to be US
English. Because ubiquity supports keymap selection, the installation is

The log files are on the live session - /var there is in memory, not
NTFS. However, putting /var on NTFS will certainly cause a crash (the
version of the installer in Edgy checks for this, although Dapper's
didn't). Try putting /var on a Unix filesystem such as ext3.

Well...I was not correct. I got the Segmentation fault again. I pulled
cables on the floppy and zip drives. Still there. I've tried both

This issue also happened today with the 2.6.15-27 kernel updates of
today.
As has previously been mentioned.
* System uses nvidia-glx driver.
* Only crashes when show details is open.
Click on one of the updates to try get info and X will die and restart.
