This occurs on both Dapper (fully updated) and Edgy beta1 (running in
VMWARE). Neither of the three copy methods work for traceroute but has
no problem with other tools.
Another detail, when we try to copy something in traceroute window,
previously copied content is erased from memory (which is
my experience with autoneg off is that it partly alleviates the
disconnections I get during the day, but the driver is still not
perfectly functional.

The upgrade aborts now - except it doesn't
After removing some of my custom startup scripts from gnome-session
problem is gone.
There was nothing usable in .xsession-errors and my first thought was
that problem is connected with system upgrade (however, with same

Someone marked my bug 63301 a duplicate of this one. However, I am not

I just tried Xubuntu live cd in case there was an out of memory
situation and booted it with the same kernel and the video=ofonly
parameter. Both 'startx' and 'startxfce' yields the same SIGSEGV fault
in the Rage 128 driver related to the mmio call.
The system doesn't die however so I now got a

fsam7440 module there. There is fsam7400 (which was also in Hoary and

I am not able to reproduce this on edgy. Can you please try running
sudo apt-get -f install or use sudo aptitude install zope-cmfplone.
if it fails to fix it can you please attach the output of both commands.
