I'm still having this problem on Edgy. I have an update though. I'm

I found an other bug here somewhere, where someone told us that there
will be no legacy driver, because of a security bug in 8.28.8. Is that
right?
As a result I downgraded to Edgy and I fear, I never may upgrade to
newer ubuntu versions again. So this is really a problem, because one
day there

application caused this crash, it appears on kubuntu startup after I log
in with kdm. It may have to dod with the upgrade tool which lays in the
ksystray.

The code doesn't look very clean, the path is hard-coded. Hence this

Under Ubuntu 6.10 Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 the Ctrl-Z option seems to be
masked. I have to use Edit-Undo Delete from the menu.
I couldn't add a bug, rather I entered a support request about the
matter here on launchpad.

Also, what is problematic with the cases under Issue 1, is that these
cross the border between graphical and command line sudo access, which
