I had a chat with upstream, and they think that since EXA is meant for
using with a compositing manager this issue is not high importance. I
tried a snapshot of server-1.3-branch and the issue is still there.
Running 'xcompmgr -a' made the problems go away.

All BIOS settings are at default (enhanced mode, SATA only)

I believe I have the latest version:

well, same timing. i also just tested it with vino 2.17.92-0ubuntu1, and
i confirm: it still doesn't work.
i'm wondering if the VNC clients we're using also support that. I'm
using ultraVNC. I'm saying that because both computers have slovenian
keyboards, and that also the slovenian specific keys
well actually it supports the basic keys in the right layout for sure;
if i type qwertz through VNC, qwertz is displayed, not qwerty or
something like that. it's still strange that čšž doesn't go through.

irqpoll options the live CD doesn't boot correctly. Now I've tried to
use noapic nolapic irqpoll and the installer seems work. I'm waiting
the install process end... :-)

new windows couldn't be moved, I disabled it. Then I rebooted, and when

I have been hunting this bug yesterday. It annoyed me I haven't been
able to use Newton Desktop Wiki since I started using Dapper.
The Python script above reproduced the problem for me and I used this to
test my solutions. Setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH to /usr/lib/firefox as is
mentioned by some above
