sudo apt-get remove --purge kdebase-data sudo rm -rf
/etc/xdg/menus/kde-*
and later reinstall kdebase-data, but still kcontrol is empty. And I
have tried moving around the file kde-essential.menu, but it still not

A Static configuration menu item has been added to nm-applet in Feisty
so that this is easy to find. static configuration isn't yet integrated
with network-manager, but this gets the job done by launching the
appropriate tool.

Thanks, but I don't like this workaround. There are times that I do want
to see the xmms window, like when I want to open a new playlist. And
with the wm decoration XMMS is really ugly.

Oddly, no one except few people are complaining about this bug in the
RIGHT places, linux kernel bugzilla and lkml. What do you need? A
f***ing workaround that is good for 2 persons in the planet or a REAL
