Broken with a TX as well. Does anyone have a workaround? perhaps
loading the old Etodo conduit which worked fine for me for a long time
in dapper and edgy?

Public bug reported:
after feisty install, my ich6 sound card doesn't respond as on edgy (it
was perfect for me on it). the woofer is controlled by pcm and the
treble is under the general volume control. when i use the multimedia
keys in front i can only manage the treble. or the woofer but not
Public bug reported:
I have a desktop computer P4 1,5 Ghz, 512RAM and 2 IDE HDDs.
I recently installed Feisty Fawn and since then when I shut down,
instead of hearing each HDD turn off properly and after this the whole
computer, now everything shuts down at once like a hard power off.I can
even
ok:
sudo modprobe nvidia: nothing happens
sudo sh -x /sbin/lrm-video nvidia:
+ PATH=/sbin:/bin
+ MODULE=nvidia
+ shift
+ [ nvidia = nvidia ]
+ [ -e /lib/linux-restricted-modules/.nvidia_legacy_installed ]
+ [ -e /lib/linux-restricted-modules/.nvidia_new_installed ]
+ MODULE=nvidia_new

intel ich6 sound card bad management on dell xps
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108824
You received this bug notification because
I have followed Ben's advice, using modprobe piix, and got Feisty installed on
my parallels guest (in a mac mini). After rebooting to the installed system
(again using modprobe piix) I put piix into the initramfs modules file and ran
the update. On the next reboot I am still prompted by busybox
given the above, why build-essential is not required or suggested in
package dependencies for gcc.?
