So, I have experienced a complete freeze again, even with speedstep
disabled in bios (and powernowd disabled in ubuntu - although some kind
of stepping still seems to be happening as I mentioned earlier). The
only think disabling steedstep (esp. powernowd) did was delay the crash

I'm fairly sure this debdiff is wrong.
The ubuntu and debian tarballs have a different md5sum, so you need to
provide a debdiff against the latest ubuntu version in this case, not
the latest debian. Of course, we can just sync this, when upstream
releases a new version.

Further research suggests that the problem is not caused by the act of
dragging to file to the play queue. Rather, after doing that, I then
attempted to move the newly added item, by dragging it upwards, to a
higher position in the queue. On releasing the mouse button, all the
existing queue items
