It has indeed been fixed in Feisty Fawn. Feisty Fawn now uses the
bootcd-mkinitramfs package instead of bootcd-mkinitrd; I think this is
what is primarily responsible for the fix.
On the same note, however, the default bootcd package in Feisty Fawn has
a typo (I think). Trying to run bootcdwrite

I have no idea why apport brought this to my attention now; X crashed on
me several hours ago and I've already rebooted. Nor do I have any idea
what made it, kdesktop, kwin, kdm, syslogd (already filed) and guidance-
power-manager.py crash... I assume apport will find

I've tried it by sending about ten jobs into my printer queue and it works.
All jobs are printed and I haven't had to restart cupsys.
And I don't get any cups error message. Not even a line.

It would appear that it is now certainly fixed. I was able to export
this successfully on the i386 as well. As such, I think it seems
reasonable and logical to note that the fix was released somewhere
between the time of reporting and the present time. Not sure what
update that was that fixed
