I can confirm that i don't see any .xsession-errors, but removable usb
storage device is still not functional. Are you sure that we are talking

I am very sorry, i use gutsy too, and with the same version of ktorrent, i
couldn't reproduce the bug.
Do you get any error when you hit the cancel button, if you run ktorrent from a
terminal?
Or maybe try to obtain a backtrace following the instructions at
how easily can you reproduce this? there's a patch from upstream to fix crashes
with the JESS plugin on x64.
i'm working on repackaging libvisual with this patch included cause i thought
it'd be useful to someone somewhere. would you be up for testing with an early
release of the new package?

I believe eject is the expected functionality of an external USB drive.
The solution should be to make eject work well with all USB hard drives,
and to make gnome-volume-manager aware of ejects, instead of disabling
eject.
Based on the observation that eject works well with those Cyrpress-based
I think I got it fixed. Norbert, I'll attach the debdiff here once it's
confirmed and built.
