Gutsy a while ago (I'm back on Feisty again now) Gnome wouldn't start
except in failsafe mode too. (the failsafe GNOME session, not the
failsafe boot mode).

Nemanja, thank-you for testing that. At least in your case we seem to
have ruled that Thinkpad-specific change out.
Up to now the descriptions of the problem had focused on the acpi-

Binary package hint: kmail
In Gutsy, Kmail can no longer get GPG key data from its backend, just
like in Bug #31212. My system is fully up-to-date. I've been using Gutsy

suspend if I'm commuting and working on the train etc.
I just checked it to confirm the bug.
I can give you a list of packages I've upgraded over about 2 days

Ubuntu Gutsy comes with AppArmor, which prevents the Brother (and other)
drivers to work with CUPS as they're in /usr/local instead of /opt/
To fix the problem, try editing /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.cupsd to add
the following lines:
# Brother printer drivers are installed in /usr/local
/usr/
This is not fixed in gutsy apparently and could be easily fixed by adding a
single dependency.
This should not be marked wishlist as it renders the bluetooth support useless
to "normal" people.
Look at this article on the Dell Ubuntu laptops, bluetooth is cripled because

Public bug reported:
When not giving/forgetting a command line argument aptitudes gives you usable

However, I have been irritating myself by the last line of this feedback
whichsays "This aptitude does not have Super Cow Powers."

Do we need to do a bug report, or is one already in progress? Maybe
they will just consider this a wishlist item...
