highres console with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu it makes console switching
impossible because Ctrl+Alt+F1 etc. results in a messed up screen

Not 100% sure if I'm having the same problem or not as it only started
to occur after I upgraded to gutsy xubuntu, but I have the following
problem and it sounds very similar.
I have the screensaver app set to blank and lock the screen after 10
minutes, and most of the time I can press a key or

The eth1 and eth2 interfaces where from back in the days when I had another
mainboard with multiple network interfaces. So i cleaned up interfaces and
iftab and now only have a interfacescontaining:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
And it works like a charm :)

We no do index merging which both speeds up indexing massively (250mb of
linux source indexed in 8 minutes) while at the same time drastically
reducing prolonged disk IO time.
Please wait for 0.6.3 to hit gusty in a few days before testing and
reopen bug if problem persists

With thunderbird version 2.0.0.6-0ubuntu3 in gutsy for some reason i can
go into accounts and add signature file but thunderbird doesnt add
signature when i open a send new message(write) im gonna have to assume
it never gets attached to

I believe the problem was that tracker had outstanding transactions
which prevented a clean kill from occurring
we have fixed this and hopefully should fix your case also
